Impact Futures by Design

A New Architecture for Diaspora Philanthropy

India’s development sector stands at a pivotal moment, where growing global connections are creating new possibilities for how philanthropy is designed, shared, and sustained. With one of the world’s largest diaspora communities bringing together capital, expertise, and networks, there is a defining opportunity to build stronger infrastructure that enables more intentional, collaborative giving. The India Philanthropy Forum (IPF) New York is where this architecture takes shape, connecting diaspora philanthropists, community leaders, and changemakers to shape the future of giving together.
Under the theme ‘Impact Futures by Design: A New Architecture for Diaspora Philanthropy,’ IPF New York 2026 creates a space for thoughtful dialogue and shared learning, spotlighting community-led solutions, strengthening cross-border partnerships, and reimagining the frameworks, relationships, and platforms needed to make diaspora philanthropy more connected, strategic, and enduring.
Now in its 13th edition, IPF New York City is a global convening that brings together philanthropists, diaspora leaders, social innovators, and sector experts committed to strengthening diaspora engagement with India’s development ecosystem. Held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly Week this September, it is where capital, ideas, knowledge, and networks converge, creating a space to connect global perspectives with grassroots realities and drive more intentional, collaborative action.
