Can we achieve systemic change without collaboration?
Most large-scale problems stifling India's progress towards meeting its developmental agenda are systemic. The issues are complex, and no single individual or organization has the resources or authority to achieve the necessary change on their own. Thus, systems thinking,
collaboration and working towards shared outcomes becomes essential. This session will share key learning from donors engaged in building collectives and highlight successful case studies of multi-stakeholder collective initiatives & collaborations that break down silos to work in partnership, towards systems change.

How do we enable family philanthropy to reach its true potential?
According to the Knight Frank Wealth Report 2023, India has over 150 billionaires and over 10,000 Ultra High Net-Worth Individuals (UHNWIs), with a projected 58% growth to around 19,000 over the next five years. However, Indian UHNWIs donate far less than those in the US, UK, and China and The India Philanthropy Report (IPR) 2023 suggests Indian UHNWIs could boost their donations by 8–13 times to match global peers. The IPR 2023 suggests family philanthropy remains the key to bridging the social sector funding deficit in India, expected to grow at an annual rate of 12% over the next five years. It is critical to invest in strengthening the philanthropy infrastructure and unleash the catalytic giving potential of this cohort.
